I’ve been working on this for a couple of weeks now. A tweak here, a tweak there. Never anything substantial enough to actually consider sharing. I have a notebook full of ideas and a brain that is even fuller. But, I guess I didn’t really know where to start. I even tried to switch my old blog over here. Something about having something from before to lean on seemed like it would make it easier. But, it wouldn’t work & honestly, I do not currently possess the brain power to try to attempt it while also dealing with day to day.

Maybe I should start with telling you who I am. This question seems like it should be easy.

But is it ever really?

I’ll start with the basics: I am a mom. I am married. I have 6 children. I have chickens. I have a garden. I homeschool. I read. I write. I love arts and crafts. I love music. I love photography. I enjoy baking. I have a deep love for journaling and learning new things.

But, I am pretty sure that you are here for the books. I love to read. I would much rather spend my day with my face in a book than out in the world peopling. Books are much easier to understand, ya know? What kind of books do I like to read you ask? Well, almost anything. My first love is romance novels. I love them in all varieties. And there are very few tropes that I won’t go for. I also love Women’s Lit, YA, dystopian, poetry, philosophy, and social commentary. Reading is what helps me learn all of the things so it is one of my main loves.

I’m not here to make promises on what this blog will bring. Hopefully, I will get to introduce you to your new favorite book!
